Trade mark history

Bicycle was question of life and death for Frank Bowden. At the age of 28 he had been informed by doctors, that one year of living ahead of him. Englishman didn't hesitate and devoted all his time and energy to cycling, in faith, that he would be able to postpone his end and to improve his health. And exactly that had happened. After 6 months of everyday riding a bike was "doomed to die" young man healthy again. History wrote year year 1887 and Bowden was so enthusiastic over magical power of "velociped", that he bought local bike shop on Raleigh Street in Nothingham.
By this inconspicuous action was - 3 years later - established Raleigh Cycle Company. Original logo consisted of crown sitting on two little ribbons, that are encircling initials R. C. Co. In 1910 Bowdwen replaced crown by heron head - token which played role in the family coat - of - arms and which has outlasted in emblem of Raleigh until the present time.
Today collection consist of more than dozen pieces. And huge amount of parts and many collectors's items concerning this mark. We are porducing many parts by ourselves or in cooperation with companies of great prestige. (contact: www.ceske-remeslo.cz)
